Parent Forum

Parent Forums

We are delighted to offer half-termly Parent Forums. These sessions are designed to be informal, welcoming and inclusive, providing parents and carers with regular opportunities to engage with school staff, share views and contribute to school development.

Parent Forums will focus on a range of topics linked to school life, pupil wellbeing, learning and parental concerns. Each forum will provide a space for meaningful discussion, collaboration and feedback.

Purpose of the Parent Forums

Our Parent Forums aim to:

  • Strengthen the home-school partnership by creating regular opportunities for open dialogue.
  • Provide a structured but informal space for parents and carers to engage with the school on key areas impacting the education and wellbeing of their children.
  • Increase parental involvement in school initiatives and decision-making.
  • Listen to parent voice and gather feedback to help steer and shape future developments.
  • Build a strong sense of community, trust and collaboration between staff and families.

Structure and Facilitation

  • Parent Forums will take place once every half-term (six sessions per year).
  • Each forum will have a clear focus topic linked to school priorities and/or feedback from parents and carers.
  • Sessions will be chaired by Claire Cooke, Assistant Headteacher.
  • Alongside the chair, relevant members of staff with expertise in the forum's focus area will be present to share information, answer questions and support discussions.
  • Forums will be discussion-based, with brief information-sharing from staff followed by opportunities for parent discussion, questions and feedback.
  • Parents and carers are asked to sign up in advance via ParentPay to help us plan effectively and monitor attendance.

Looking Ahead
