National Curriculum
Download the entire National Curriculum for more information so that you are aware of the statutory requirements set by the Government.
The ‘basic’ school curriculum includes the National Curriculum, aswell as religious education. This provides an outline of core knowledge, along with the skills and processes to be taught at each key stage. Individual schools then plan for the development of pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills as part of their wider school curriculum.
All state schools are also required to make provision for a daily act of collective worship.
The National Curriculum aims to “provide pupils with an introduction to the essential knowledge that they need to be educated citizens. It introduces pupils to the best that has been thought and said; and helps engender an appreciation of human creativity and achievement.”
Staff have spent a lot of time looking at the way Our Curriculum is organised and planned, to be bespoke for our school, our Vision and our children. Please click here for information on how we organise our ACE Curriculum.
