Go Pink Day Friday 30th June

On Friday 30th June we held a 'Pink it up' day. This involved year 5 pupils donating £1 and dressing in pink and anyone else who wanted to join in.

We also held a 'pink it up' bake sale at both gates at the end of the school day.

Here's the story behind why we were 'pinking it up!'

"As some of you may already know, Neave who is in 5C was diagnosed last February with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL). As you can imagine the last year has been traumatic for Neave and our family but thankfully we have had the amazing support of Candlelighters who do so much for ourselves and for other families with children who have been diagnosed with cancer. The charity also funds it's own research laboratory.

Each year, for a week during June, the charity holds a 'Pink it up' week consisting of lots of fundraising and raising awareness for children's cancer. It would be amazing if ACE community could take part in this by dressing in Pink and donating to show their support. All money raised goes towards supporting families but will also make a huge difference to the future research of children's cancers with the hope of saving more children and their families from the devastating impact of the disease. Thank you!"
