Ofsted and SIAMS
Our last Ofsted inspection was in July 2022. This report has been published on the Ofsted website but still says 'draft' on the official website! Don't worry, it is not a draft report. See link at the bottom of this page.
We were delighted to be able to share all the amazing work that we do here at ACE and to demonstrate the outstanding learning behaviours, attitudes, subject discipline and leadership throughout.
Alongside the official Report, the Lead Inspector gave thorough feedback to the Governors and Senior Leaders; some of which I have captured here.
"ACE is genuinely a passionate school.
The Inspectors have been really impressed.
Children are delightful and welcoming.
Excellent relationships. Quality assurance is rigorous.
School has bought in to subject disciplines very strongly."

"Firstly, and most importantly, this is an amazing report. I think it's probably one of the best Section 8 I've read this year." Diocesan Advisor
"Wow! I've just read your Ofsted report. It's fabulous! I read all the reports and this is so impressive and really well deserved." Healthy Schools Advisor, LA.
As a Church School, we are subject to two Inspection regimes; SIAMS and Ofsted.
SIAMS is the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools, which is based on a 5 year rolling cycle and Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills, who inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people, and services providing education and skills for learners of all ages.
Please read comments from our Ofsted Inspection February 2017. Please read the reports that are linked on this page.
“You are rightly exceptionally proud of the progress the school has made since the last inspection.
Your continuous ambition to make the school even better is recognised by both parents and pupils.
Your clear vision for the future is shared by staff at all levels.” Ofsted
Some of the comments that the HMI gave, in the official verbal feedback, do not appear in the report but I wanted to share some with you:
“It was one of the most positive schools I have ever inspected.”
“It is the most diverse school that I have inspected, in terms of all that you do and offer to our children.”
“I have observed innovative classroom practice.”
SIAMS reports on 3 areas, with us being judged OUTSTANDING in all areas once again.
“Creativity is a hallmark of this school, as shown through imaginative use of spaces like the bespoke art studio and café, and through the innovative use of classroom wall space. When added to the excellent relationships between all members of the school community and the continual drive for improvement, this makes for a school environment where children thrive and enjoy their learning.” SIAMS
We welcome parents to come and spend time in school and look around at our outstanding learning environments, from our 2 year old Nursery to Year 6. Visitors to school are always astounded by the working environment, ethos and feel of the school. That can only be truly experienced when you are here and have the opportunity to speak to the children about their experiences here.
