The aim of Friends is to provide exciting events for our children and their families, which enrich the education already being offered here, at the same time raising funds for the school.

When your child starts at our school, you automatically become a member of Friends. You are more than welcome to come to a meeting – no experience required, just a willingness to get involved! 

If you are unable to attend our meetings there are lots of other ways you can help, such as volunteering at the International Food Café, Splashdown, Freeze Pop Friday, ACE Cup and other events we hold throughout the school year.

Recently we have raised money for the gazebos, waterproof clothing and small world resources.  Our future fundraising plans are for an outdoor reading shelter and other playground equipment, to be used by all children across school.

The children also get to have their say about what they would like us to fund, through the School Council.

You can raise money for school while you shop online:

Friends of Allerton are registered with www.easyfundraising.org which raises money for us whilst you shop on the internet without it costing you a penny!  It’s free to register and only takes a few minutes.  All the popular sites are there supporting this great way of fundraising, such as e-bay, Amazon UK, John Lewis, Toys R Us, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, JUST EAT, plus services like travel agents and insurance companies…the list is just endless!  Just make sure you select our school - Allerton C of E Primary - for your donations to go to.  If you would like to leave us your email address, we can register for you.

It’s a good idea to name your child’s possessions so that you are not always looking through lost property!  Friends are registered with www.easy2name.com who have a large selection of name tapes either sew in, iron on, stick on; plastic tags for packed lunch bags, shoe labels and so on.  Please have a look and select “Friends of Allerton LS17” to support us.

Support our Free Bagel Breakfast Scheme: 

By purchasing a ticket for our new School Lottery, you can help support our free Bagel Breakfast Scheme.  Every ticket makes a difference and helps us to ensure that all children can continue to enjoy a free breakfast bagel each morning.  As well as giving families the opportunity to win prizes, participation directly supports this vital provision and other school initiatives. Taking part is entirely voluntary, and every child will continue to benefit from the free breakfast scheme regardless of whether their family participates.  To join our school lottery simply visit  Support Allerton Church of England Primary School when you play Your School Lottery - Your School Lottery, and purchase your tickets.

 Another way to support our free breakfast scheme is to ask whether you work for a local or national company that offers match funding, community grants, charitable giving programmes or sponsorship opportunities.  Many employers are willing to support schools and community projects through financial contributions or by matching funds raised through fundraising activities.  If your employer has a scheme that may be able to support our Bagel Breakfast, we would be very grateful to hear from you at office@allertonceprimary.com.
