Anti-Racism Pledge

Allerton CofE Primary School Anti-Racism Pledge

At Allerton CofE Primary School, we celebrate our diversity and are committed to creating a nurturing environment where all pupils, staff, and families feel valued and respected. Guided by our vision, "We are one body of many parts and together we love, learn and flourish - 1 Corinthians 12:12," we pledge to actively combat racism and promote equity in our school community. We will do this by:

Commitment to Inclusivity: We pledge to ensure that every member of our school community feels seen, heard, and valued, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, or background.

Education and Awareness: We pledge to educate our pupils and staff about the harmful effects of racism and the importance of diversity, inclusion, and equality through our curriculum and training programs.

Safe and Supportive Environment: We pledge to provide a safe space for open dialogue about race and racism, encouraging everyone to share their experiences and perspectives.

Active Listening and Continuous Improvement: We pledge to actively listen to the voices of our diverse community, using feedback to inform and adapt our policies and practices.

Celebration of Diversity: We pledge to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures and traditions represented in our school through events, assemblies, and curriculum content.

Accountability and Transparency: We pledge to hold ourselves accountable for our actions and decisions, ensuring transparency in our processes and policies related to racial equity and inclusion.

By embracing these commitments, Allerton CofE Primary School aims to foster an environment where, together, we love, learn, and flourish as one united community.

Allerton CE Primary is excited to be working toward the Anti-Racism Award with the Centre for Race, Education, and Decoloniality (CRED) at Leeds Beckett University. We invite you to learn more about our Anti-Racism Pledge by listening to the video below or by exploring further information from CRED website here.

We will be submitting our evidence for the award this summer, and your thoughts and feedback are incredibly important to us. As a school community, we are reminded that "we are one body of many parts," and only together can we truly love, learn, and flourish. (1 Corinthians 12:12). We welcome your feedback via this form. https://forms.gle/jjqrTBex7s3dH9YU9

We look forward to hearing from you and working together to build an even stronger, more inclusive school community.
