Testimonials

  • Just wanted to say a massive thanks to everyone who made us feel welcome at school this afternoon. We don’t go out much with the wheelchair so it’s always an adventure, but everything worked so well today, the parking, coming in through the main entrance, the setup in the hall, the friendliness of staff especially in the playground etc. And the nativity was adorable!

  • I would just like to thank all the staff that organised the spelling bee. Me and Gurmit are so delighted that Mahaan reached the finals! The competition really brought out the best in him.

  • We are so grateful that such competitions are planned and all children have an opportunity to take part. Mahaan can be quite shy and would normally hold back, so I’m over the moon that he has taken part without being prodded by me!

  • It was fantastic to see the children and parents from Allerton C of E Primary School attend the Bradford (Park Avenue) game against Darlington. Moving forward we are keen to provide more of these opportunities to come and experience live football. We really hope the children enjoyed their afternoon with us.

  • A very warm welcome from all the staff. Pupils very well behaved and a great positive celebration! - Parent feedback on Year 1 Assembly

  • I have just returned from helping out the trip to Headingley Stadium.

All the children were super well behaved, they represented the school so well and should be proud of themselves. They all looked like they were enjoying it and there maybe some sore voices tomorrow. I had a lot of them saying to me it was their first time in a stadium or to a sports event.

Huge credit to Mr Cosgrove for putting the trip together. Other schools there only had a handful of children, so to give a group of 180 the opportunity to go and then get them there and back seamlessly was fantastic. The rest of the staff were brilliant as well, not sure how many of them actually got to watch the rugby with the countless trips to the toilet, but it was all done with a smile and every child was taken care of.

Well done to the school and the children.

  • Thank you so, so much for a wonderful afternoon, we loved every part of it! The class's enthusiasm and the way they supported and willed each other on was simply inspiring and a credit to you. This for me was a simply beautiful demonstration of values and I was so proud of them all!

  • Thanks so much for showing us around your incredible school last night, we really enjoyed it and are in complete shock at all the facilities you have available for the children, as well as the passion that came through from every single person we spoke to.

More specifically I wanted to send a glowing report on the two young role models who showed us round and talked about their experience of life at ACE. What an absolute credit to the school they are. I also can't believe how confidently they talked in front of a group of adult strangers - they did a much better job of presenting than a lot of adults I work with!! Credit where credit is due, it was a pleasure to spend time with them.

  • The Out of School Club Administrator was prompt to respond to my emails and sorted everything out for me, even when there was some swapping and changing with hours and start dates. I really wanted to thank her, and to mention, just how much of a huge difference this flexibility and kindness means to working parents. It is so stressful trying to organise everyone and everything around work and if something changes it can be a nightmare. Michaela took that stress away and was so helpful. I wanted to pass this onto you, so that you were aware of how grateful we are.

Also, I have found this to be a theme with all members of the office staff, they are just so helpful and accommodating. Each time I ring/email to sort a problem, nothing is too much trouble and everything is sorted speedily. It really is much appreciated.

  • We would like to thank all KS1 for everything they do, the teachers really do make it special for the children and are friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Miss Shipley Miss Fraser and Miss Dignam for being there for our children from reception up to year 2. The children have flourished , felt supported when they have needed it and we are happy to know they are in safe hands. You do really provide a safe space where they can come to school learn and feel loved. That’s special. Thank you

End of term parental email - July 2023

  • I just wanted to send a quick note about yesterday’s field trip to Filey with 1DT. We had a lovely time (despite the weather!) and it was so nice to see the kids enjoying themselves throughout the day. Mrs Duba and Mrs Turner made sure the trip ran smoothly and it was great to watch how they controlled the class whilst also giving them the freedom to express themselves and enjoy the day. They made us feel very welcome and involved throughout. I also want to highlight Mrs Hirst as her ability to interact and comfort the children when needed was lovely to see. Yesterday was a brilliant day, organised by brilliant staff at a brilliant school. Thank you.
